Young And The Restless: Ian opens his eyes in the ambulance

The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, January 30 reveals the Newman family will think that Ian Ward (Ray Wise) is dead.

Also coming up, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will be thrilled when Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) shows up with their daughter at Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) cottage. Plus, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) wants the truth. And Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will need surgery.

Y&R spoilers tease Mariah will still be worried about her missing wife and daughter. She’ll frantically tell her mom the sun has come up and there’s still no sign of them. Mariah will remind her mom she provoked Ian.

“I told him I didn’t want anything to do with him and I even told him that I wanted him to die,” she’ll say. “He’s taken Tessa and Aria to hurt me in the worst way, and now he has.” There’ll be a knock on the door and Tessa will be standing there, with Aria in her arms.

Y&R Daily Scoop – Mariah Rushes To Embrace Tessa And Aria

“Sharon?” she’ll say and Mariah will rush up to embrace them. “Oh my God!” she’ll say. “I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry.” Tessa will be shocked when she realizes Mariah called the police. “I don’t understand Tessa, where were you?” Mariah will ask. “Were you angry with me?”

But Tessa will say no and she’ll apologize for defending Ian. She’ll explain she felt terrible about the argument, and then Aria got fussy, so she took her for a drive. She wasn’t planning to be out all night but she didn’t check to see if the car was charged and it ran out of juice. Not to mention, her phone was dead.

Tessa will add that eventually, she heard a tap on the car window. It was Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), who drove her home. Suddenly, they’ll hear tons of sirens and Sharon will say it wounds like they’re heading to the main house.

Meanwhile, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will ask Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) how they should handle this. Michael will say they tell the truth, Victor shot Ian in self-defense. On the couch, Victor will ask Ian how he’s doing. “You son of a bitch, you’re going to rot in hell,” he’ll tell him.

The paramedics will arrive. “He didn’t make it?” Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will ask, and the paramedic checking Ian will shake his head no. “Thank God,” Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will say. The paramedic attending to Victor will say the bullet passed through but he lost a lot of blood and will need surgery.

Nikki will walk over to Ian’s body. “Well here we are, for the last time, your reign of terror against my family is finally over,” she’ll tell him. “When I think about all those years you abused me, and so many others, your life was a waste. Good riddance.”

Young and The Restless Scoop – Sharon Tells Ian She Didn’t Have To Die

Then Mariah, Tessa and Sharon will show up and see the paramedics wheeling out Ian’s dead body. But Sharon will ask for a minute. “Heather Stevens didn’t have to die,” she’ll tell the villain. “She was a good and decent woman, a mother, a partner, and she had things to offer this world that were good and positive, unlike you.”

Mariah will walk over and tell the former cult leader that when she was a little girl, she thought of him as her hero. Then viewers will see flashbacks of Mariah and Ian. “But when I finally realized who you really were, you turned on me and you tortured me,” she’ll tell him.

After almost everyone clears out, Michael, Adam and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will tell Chance their version of everything that went down. “You can imagine what this looks like, from the outside,” the cop will say. “Two sworn enemies of the Newman family ending up dead, on the same property, the very same night.”

“Do you have any reason to doubt what we’ve told you?” Michael will ask. He’ll say no but he can’t help but marvel how things always work out the way the Newman’s want them to.

In an ambulance on the way to the hospital, Nikki will ask Victor what he was thinking, walking up to that maniac. “I could have lost you!” she’ll say. “I was not going to let that son of a bitch hurt you,” Victor will reply. “I’d rather die first.” He’ll add that Ian Ward and that Jordan woman are dead now. “No more problems, end of story.”

Finally, the scene will cut to the ambulance carrying what the paramedics believe to be Ian’s dead body. But in the back, Ian will gasp and he’ll open his eyes.
